Finally, completed a long due revamp of my personal homepage, www.rohithmvk.com.
Four years had passed since I had originally registered the domain, and the internet landscape has undergone tremendous changes during the time. The world has become more connected, more mobile.
My high-end gadget was Sony Ericsson K510i then, and now I’m using a Note 2 and Nexus 7. In the mean time Orkut has passed away, Twitter had grown up, Internet explorer finally started supporting open standards. The web itself, got evolved into a more beautiful place.
From the old static webpage, to a modern responsive, mobile device friendly theme, a transition was inevitable.
For the interested, I have kept the old site at www.rohithmvk.com/main_old which will remain there for a short period of time. It’s interesting to compare.
Sadly, the blog, during it’s migration, has lost a lot of good posts & comments – everything in Malayalam was lost due to a Unicode conversion issue. Stupid me, I was too lazy to check & verify all posts, and paid the price now. I am searching for my old documents where I had typed in the drafts of those posts, but not able to get anything yet.
